Dangerous
Chives are very toxic to cats.
All alliums are dangerous but cats are 2-3x more sensitive than dogs. Even small amounts cause Heinz body anemia — destruction of red blood cells. Symptoms may be delayed 2-5 days.
If your dog has eaten this food and shows signs of distress (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, tremors, or seizures), contact your veterinarian immediately.
