Fresh mint is safe in small amounts.

Can freshen breath and soothe upset stomachs. Peppermint and spearmint are safe. Avoid mint essential oils and pennyroyal mint.

Non-toxic and closely related to catnip. Some cats enjoy it. Peppermint essential oil, however, is toxic — only fresh leaves are safe.
