Caution
Blood oranges carry the same risks as regular oranges.
High in citric acid and sugar. Remove peel and seeds. Small amounts of flesh are tolerated by most dogs but too much can cause stomach upset.
Caution
Blood oranges are not ideal for cats.
Citrus fruits contain essential oils and compounds that can cause GI upset in cats. The oils in the peel are especially irritating. Avoid giving citrus to cats.
If your dog has eaten this food and shows signs of distress (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, tremors, or seizures), contact your veterinarian immediately.
