Pitted dates are safe in small amounts.
Always remove the pit first. Very high in sugar so feed sparingly. A good source of fiber, potassium, and iron.
Caution
Dates should be limited for cats.
Very high in sugar. Not toxic but offers no nutritional benefit for cats. Can cause GI upset and contribute to obesity. Pits are a choking hazard.
