Macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs.
Cause weakness, vomiting, tremors, and hyperthermia. Symptoms usually appear within 12 hours. Combined with chocolate, effects are even worse.
Caution
Macadamia nuts should be avoided for cats.
Highly toxic to dogs but toxicity in cats is less documented. Still best to avoid due to high fat content and potential unknown risks.
If your dog has eaten this food and shows signs of distress (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, tremors, or seizures), contact your veterinarian immediately.
