Molasses is very high in sugar.
Not toxic but extremely high in sugar. Small amounts are sometimes used in homemade dog treat recipes. Can cause diarrhea and stomach upset in larger amounts.

Very high in sugar with no nutritional benefit for cats. Can cause GI upset. Cats can't taste sweetness.
